Tommy Bolin Interview 1975

Fellas,
This is some true UTR stuff. I suppose you are either going to find this fascinating or hate it. There will be no in between. This interview is from about 1975 and features Tommy Bolin and Tim Weisburg. I have never heard Bolin speak and was very curious to see what he was like and what he had to say.
The interview is on a late night talk show from the Denver area that was hosted by local promoter Barry Fey who is still alive today and is a legend in the area. Besides the obvious appeal of seeing the rock stars in a casual moment, the interview is worthwhile for its remarkable glimpse into the workings of how people interacted at the time. Just the pace of the conversation makes me feel a little nostalgic. I had forgotten some of the subtleties of communication among the cool and stoned of the day and this little time capsule brought them all back for a moment.
One last thing. One of the comments below the origonal post I took this from pointed out that Bolin seemed very lucid during the interview and did not come off like the junkie he was reported to have been. Remember he would be dead in less that a year after this interview. See for yourself.

Fellas,
I ran across this great site for UTR related music. They have a very good UFO interview and the link between the pictures you will get you there. They were/are such a great band and it appears that I may still have a chance to see them one day. I know a lot of you old wasters saw them back in the day. How about a few comments on when and where for the blog. I would love to hear about it all.

Juicy Lucy/Chris Mercer

Fellas,
I was recording some music last night when I happend on some new (to me anyway) info on Chris Mercer of Juicy Lucy fame. Turns out he played keyboard and sax on The Pretenders first two albums. Small world, huh. I am going to keep trying to get him to give us a comment on this blog. Wish me luck.

Happy New Year Fellas!
Check out the newest member of the Payne Manor museum. My neighbor gave me a box of his Dad's old cameras and this little beauty was in it. I can't wait to get some film and try it out. As always thanks to the internet I was able to come up with some instructional video. Let me know if any of you have any expertese in this area.
